I'm overwhelmed by the response tonight to the Gospel singing that was held to benefit Trinity... blessed beyond meausure at what God is doing in the lives of those kids, in my life...

I just want to make a few comments:

1) I'm indescribeably proud of my students. They came together, sang before a group of people they barely knew, and are just a genuinely awesome group of kids. They've come so far in their young lives, from the different lives they've walked... I'm just blessed to have a part in their life.

2) There's a song out right now by Sanctus Real... anyway, the last chorus goes:

So Father, give me the strength
To be everything I'm called to be
Oh, Father, show me the way
To lead them
Won't You lead me?

To lead them with strong hands
To stand up when they can't

And I really feel like this is what my calling has been; to lead these students, these precious children of God. I know that He is leading me, so that I can lead them. What an awesome responsibility, to teach a child to not be of the world but rather, to rise above it. I just pray that He continues to show me how to lead them.

3) Trinity was blessed beyond comprehension tonight. We were given more than $800 dollars to keep our school running; God continues to bless us because we are doing what He has called us to do, and as long as Trinity remains true to His word, and His path for us (as a school, and as individuals), He will continue to rain His blessings down on us.

4) Many, many thanks to Pam Smith, The Seekers Quartet, The Singing Oakes Family, Bethany Baptist Church and Pastor Jimmy Hobbs for everything that they did tonight. I can't say enough about them.

Benefit Singing for Trinity

On Saturday, we will be holding a benefit singing for Trinity. This event is brought to us by The Seekers Quartet & The Oakes Family Singers and we are so excited to have them share with us.

It's at 7pm, Bethany Baptist Church in Phenix City. There will be a love offering taken up at the end of the concert, to benefit Trinity, and we pray that many people will come and hear about all of the amazing things that God is doing in the lives of Trinity students, but most importantly, we pray that this time will be a time for those who don't know Him to come to know Christ. It's not about us... its about God and giving Him the glory.
