Our "Facing the Giants" Moment

This morning, at 8:30, 5 adults and 9 students met in the conference room and prayed for more than 2 hours for each other, for our school, for protection, for God to increase our territory, for everything that is in their lives that holds them back from living completely for Jesus. I was given the chance to pray over, to lay hands on, each one of my students - and they were given the chance to pray for us.

It. Was. Awesome.

I felt the power of the Lord sweep through the room, move within me - there were times in my prayers when I wasn't thinking about what to say, but that the Lord was speaking through me over these children, over these young men and women. Tears were shed - from everyone. It was by far probably my favorite "Trinity" moment.

As we were praying with each other, the students were given a chance to pray over each of us - and themselves. I watched as they linked arms, bowed heads, and tears flowed. We were having what I now call a "Facing the Giants" moment - you know, after the Deathcrawl scene, and the students are gathering on the football field to pray and ask forgiveness of each other. (its at about 8:08 in the clip).

I know that the road will not be easy, but something special happened this morning, and God continues to move!
